The Official Website & Fanclub of Kyla Cole Kyla opened her official site on 21 March 2001 and is expanding it gradually with new services and galleries. Guests have the ability to find out what's new on the site with text and sample pictures and see more sample pictures under Free Stuff. Guests are also able to send Kyla email, which she reads but may not always be able to answer, and sign up for her newsletter to receive monthly updates on what's happening in her life. Kyla only allows members to see her biography, but guests can see her magazine portfolio (it looks like she was quite busy in 2000) and her FAQ page, which answers the questions most often asked of Kyla ("I want to be known as Kyla" and "I am bisexual"). I am pleased to see that Kyla offers a free postcard service that provides four pictures for sending to lovers and spouses or even both. Some of the things that guests can look forward to in the future are a public message board and on-line auction. Also coming soon is an E-shop section where Kyla stuff can be purchased, like signed photos, videoclips and even Kyla's panties. Since I'm a fan of Kyla and really enjoy looking at her, I bought a membership for the very reasonable price of $19.95 per month (a second option is available for a five-day trial at $4.95, which extends to the normal monthly rate unless cancelled). I said reasonable because I believe the membership gives you every bit of the price paid.

The member's menu starts with a site update followed by a nice introduction by Kyla. As Kyla is from Slovakia I found her written text endearing in that it captures the broken English one might expect when she speaks; either that or she's got a lousy word processor. I guess it comes down to Kyla's honesty, which is demonstrated in her biography. The biography displays only straightforward and truthful honesty and none of the ridiculous stuff written by others to titillate. In it we learn that she is indeed from Slovakia and not Seattle (as written in one of the bigger men's magazines) and enjoys the sensual pleasures of other women. The biography section also contains the same magazine portfolio as seen in the Guest section. The same postcards found in the Guest section are available in the member's area, too. One difference between the two areas is that Kyla reads AND answers all emails sent by members, which is done either through the Private e-mail link at the bottom of each page or the Fan Club link that links to the same page. (I sent her an email, but it's private.) As with the Guest area, members are unable to purchase Kyla items through the E-shop at this time, but this is expected to be added in the future along with videoclips, auctions and a contest, something in which I'm quite interested. One of the most exciting things about Kyla's official site is the ability to chat with Kyla while seeing her on a webcam. (What do you say to a naked lady?) At the moment chats occur about once per week and may become more frequent as the demand increases. One of my favourite areas is the Photo Gallery that Kyla is gradually building up with new series being added on a weekly basis.

A visitor to Bob's Picks sent in a review of Jenna's Club saying he was concerned that Jenna's pictures were getting very dark and wild. I responded with sage advice that Jenna is Jenna. Now Kyla is producing some pictures with heavy makeup (particularly around the eyes) and fetish themes and it's no longer Kyla. I'm sure there are some who like this type of image. I like the pure image of a beautiful girl. Thankfully, many of her series are just that (check the In the House gallery for some really fabulous solo series). There are over 340 pictures in 19 series, some exclusively shot for the site and others photographed by Suze Randall and J. Stephen Hicks. Some of the exclusive photos include a biker series, a new black wig series and a cowgirl series (she's looking mighty hot in those cowboy hat and boots). More exclusive photoshoots are likely to be done, but I suspect they won't be exclusive for long as the pictures are not protected and can be easily downloaded (Kyla does have a Free Download section that currently has several wallpapers and more stuff is likely to be added). One thing that is exclusively Kyla is her unique glimpse into a day in the life of a glamour model in a section called Backstage.

Kyla created the Backstage section to show what her day is like when on a photoshoot and there are several listed already with more being added. Kyla seems genuinely excited in her work and talks about the people she worked with, the location and other things and displays some candid pictures taken during the shoot. Each picture is captioned with something funny or interesting to capture the moment and Kyla's sense of fun and adventure really comes through, demonstrating humour and wit in what appears to be a very hectic life. As seen in the pictures and the captions, sometimes it looks like fun, but Kyla wants people to know that it is still really hard work and this allows us to appreciate the final product all the more. Now, where do I sign up to become bored with photographing naked girls?

Overall, Kyla's official site has the makings of a really good fan site and the inexpensive price makes it even more appealing. On the downside, I found the site to be slow and the picture thumbnails are small and framed so a sense of the expanded picture is difficult to see. Despite this, I plan to keep coming back to see what else Kyla has in store.
